The structural elements of the devices (columns) are mounted on metal anchors attached to concrete blocks. This treatment isolates the wood from the ground for about 10 cm, which significantly extends the life of the wood.
We use a very labor-intensive, but extremely stable and safe connection of the metal anchor with wood. In the bottom face of the pole, four longitudinal holes are drilled to a depth of 200 mm. The next two holes fi 18 are drilled on the cylindrical surface of the column at a distance of 150 and 180 mm, these holes are inserted with two steel pins fi 18 with two threaded connections, into which four long M 10 screws fixing the metal anchor are screwed.
