Thanks to the large selection of all types of play equipment and equipment made entirely of wood or wood in combination with materials and technologies used to build playgrounds, our offer will satisfy the needs of every, even the most demanding customer.

When buying wooden toys for a children's playground, it is worth paying attention to the technology in which the elements installed in devices and children's play equipment were made. The type of wood and the method of its processing technology has a key impact on the strength and aesthetics of a wooden playground.

Apart from the wood used for the construction of playgrounds, where it is most often pine or spruce, due to the aesthetics and durability of wooden elements we can divide them into three main categories resulting from the type of processing of the material used to build playground equipment. These are elements of core, coreless and glued wood.

Of course, wood species also have a huge impact, especially on its strength and resistance to weather conditions. However, in the vast majority of playground equipment installed on playgrounds, pine or spruce wood is used. This is primarily due to the greater availability of this material, ease of processing but above all to the lower price than other more noble wood species.

Of course, elements made of hardwood will always be more durable than elements made of spruce or pine. However, the price, availability and ease of processing make materials other than pine or spruce rather rare.

As for the method of processing this wood, we are dealing with the full range of processing methods and technologies available on the market. They count from the fastest and the least durable material used to build playgrounds, classifying it in terms of its treatment method is:

1. Core turned wood, core wood.

It is still the most popular material used to build playgrounds, especially the low-budget ones. It is characterized by low price but also the weakest aesthetic values and the lowest durability. Its name stems from the method of processing, i.e. coating a relatively young tree along its core. In the material treated in this way, looking from the forehead across the cross-section of the turned beam, the tree's core is located less in the middle of the plane of the cross-section of the material so processed.

Core wood, apart from the low price, has many disadvantages. The element treated in this way will naturally crack around the core due to very high internal stresses. The larger the diameter of the material prepared in this way, the deeper and larger the longitudinal cracks are possible. The PN-EN 1176 standard allows longitudinal cracks of such material if the width of the crack gap does not exceed 6 mm and it is longer than 1m. In addition, core-turned wood works very longitudinally so that the elements often deform and bend from their axis, which makes assembly difficult, and deteriorates the aesthetic value of toys. In addition, the wood prepared in this way also has a tendency to delaminate, which causes sharp edges to appear on its surface that can result in skin abrasions and cuts. Such material often also becomes porous, sharp and uncomfortable to the touch, especially after changing weather, alternating between sunny and rainy.

2. Coreless wood

This type of woodworking is the least common in playgrounds. It is characterized by the fact that wooden elements used in playgrounds have been cut from the trunk of the tree in such a way that they do not contain the core. Thanks to this solution, the stresses occurring in the elements are smaller and hence its susceptibility to cracking, lengthwise and deformation.

3. Glued wood

It is a very durable and aesthetic solutioncurrently used more and more often especially on high quality play equipment. This type of wood processing involves gluing together many layers of dry boards and only then subjecting them to further processing. It is characterized by very high strength and minimal internal stresses, thanks to which elements made of glued wood are the most durable and at the same time the most aesthetic among the three most commonly used here wood processing methods used to build children's playgrounds. Unfortunately, it is also the most expensive type of material, making toys made in this technology more expensive with toys made of coreless or core wood.

4. Wooden playgrounds for children in the garden

All play equipment, toys and supplementary equipment in the category of wooden playgrounds can be successfully used not only on public playgrounds or gardens but also in private gardens. In our offer you can find small and large play equipment and toys that will certainly meet the needs of every customer who dreams of a wooden playground for children in the garden.
